This is a chill, not-for-profit, all-volunteer server where you can make real-life friends! We want to chat and get to know each other better so we can hang out in person.

These days, most stuff happening in the city is in colonised “non-places” like malls where you can't really chat with new people. We want to bring back the fun of meeting and talking to strangers!

Vancouver is famous for being cliquety, for people to stay within their existing groups. New members are the lifeblood of the Metro Vancouver Discord server. Come chat with us, we want to get to know you!

While your next new friend might be around the corner, this is a public, community server for a metro area of more than 3 million people. Many members of this server might think very differently on a variety of topics and that’s why this server is a politics-free zone. Even then not everybody can be friends. Just ignore them and focus on the people you care about.
